Greek Basketball Federation Calls 14 Teams to Discuss Refereeing, Panathinaikos Absent

At the offices of the Hellenic Basketball Federation, representatives from 14 teams in the Greek Basketball League have been called to discuss refereeing issues. The meeting is ongoing, but one major team is absent. That is Panathinaikos. According to an advance notice from the team, Panathinaikos decided not to participate due to strong opposition to many issues related to the Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) and the refereeing system. They emphasize their desire for professional refereeing through ESAKE - the Hellenic Basketball Referees Association. As a result, the traditional Big 5 have become Big 4 in the first of three discussion groups.
